National Human Resource Development Plan

The National Human Resource Development Plan (NHRDP) provides quantitative and qualitative analysis of the human resources needs and supply of Seychelles. The NHRDP highlights the areas of skills shortages and strategies to address them and guide education, training and skills development programmes to meet the country’s evolving skills and competence needs.

The first NHRDP was formulated in 1989 for the period 1990 - 1995 alongside the National Development Plan 1990-1995. In between there have been other plans with the last one covering the period 2012-2016. With the positive economic development of Seychelles there is a need for a plan to cater for this and the Agency for National Human Resource Development (ANHRD) sought the help of the African Development Bank (ADB) and the ADB recently approved funding for the development of a National Development Human Resource Development Plan and Strategy.
